About Ludwig von Beethoven
This term's composer is Beethoven.
You can listen to a radio show about him here on Classics from Kids.
Today's piece is Piano Sonata 8 (Pathetique) Opus 13 (listen to it on my Grooveshark widget on the side bar).
Here is a link with information about this piece in particular found on Answers.com. I haven's read it yet, but I plan to.
This is what we are doing: After our devotions, once a week, we listen to the audio show on Classics for Kids, and then to the musical piece for the week. From now until the end of the year, I will have the music playing all throughout the day while we work (there is a widget with of this terms pieces on my side links you can click and play or copy to your Grooveshark account- it's free!) and by the end of the year they will have the piece forever playing in their minds and hearts- they will always remember it.
