Well, I have to make a new introduction. Our little munchkin growing inside me. This little person has been the reason our school year is turning out very differently and the reason why I can't seem to get on my computer very often. So, this year will be an adapting year. So, grow, little baby, grow!
“Here is a sweet, fragrant mouth to kiss; here are two more feet to make music with their pattering about my nursery, Here is a soul to train for God. and the body in which it dwells is worth all it will cost, since it is the abode of a kingly tenant. I may see less of friends, but I have gained one dearer than them all, to whom, while I minister in Christ’s name, I make a willing sacrifice of what little leisure for my own recreation my other darlings had left me. Yes, my precious baby, you are welcome to your mother’s heart, welcome to her time, her strength, her health, her tenderest cares, to her lifelong prayers! Oh, how rich I am, how truly, how wondrously blest!” Elizabeth Prentiss in Stepping Heavenward

Ted's Birthday!
August 30 Th marked my husbands 33rd Birthday so I wanted to take a moment to honor him. ( He probably won't read this... but I'm going to brag on him anyway). My husband, when we first met was such an incredible man! I first challenged him the night he called me and asked me if I would be interested in a relationship and said to him, "If we do pursue a relationship, know that I won't let you kiss me, hold my hand or be alone with me." I wanted to scare him a little because I wanted to see if he was up to the challenge! He said, "Sure! I will respect that!" And he did. He has been a man of integrity a man of faith, godliness and a great leader. I often tell people that I love follow his leadership because he makes it so easy! He is gentle and genuine, and the hardest worker I know. What an honor to be married to such a wonderful man! I love you, Ted!

Thank You!

Ephesians 4:2
"Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit though the bond of peace."
I wanted to take a moment and thank all of you ladies who served with Ted and I this week at VBS. I am so moved by your heart of service to further the gospel in the lives of children and the community He has placed us in. I was so moved and encouraged to see the giftings emerge out of you as you served and interacted with one another. Everybody kept commenting to me, "We had no conflicts! Everybody did their part, nobody complained, everybody served so well together!" I agree! Even though there were plenty of opportunities to complain and to get overwhelmed, you all kept your eyes on Jesus, you chose to look up and to remember to "make every effort..." to keep peace and to overlook offences. The Lord is pleased, I am humbled by your encouragement, by your willingness to serve with us, and for your Love for your Savior. I can not thank you enough!

Little Athen

I wanted to take a moment and announce our newest arrival into the Titus 2 Destiny family. For those of you who did not know, little Athen entered the world on June the 5th. He arrived about 3 weeks early, by emergency c-section and many, many people praying for him and his Mommy, Jaime. By chance (or better stated,God's Divine plan), I called Jaime to check on her, and I never expected to hear her frantic voice. She courageously drove herself to the hospital (I met her there minutes later to take her daughters.) Miraculously, the doctor was near, she checked her and immediately prepped for the surgery. Jaime's placenta had torn... and so we all give God the glory for her safety and especially for the safety of our newest little boy.
Thank you ladies for stepping in and serving her. Thank you for the emails requesting prayer, thank you for sacrificial giving when you made her dinner. What a privilege it is for me to know I am a part of a group of women who are an example to me!

Nothing can substitute the time you spend with a child like the time you spend reading to them!

Whenever I read to my children, I get to see their eyes light up with the wonder of the story. I often tell them that reading gives you wings to fly to another place, to another time; to do things you may never be able to do; you can be anybody, or anything; pick up a book and let's explore the world together! The joy of being able to pass on this "honey" through books will be a memory your children will cherish for as long as they live! Thier childhood will be that much more memorable, because of the honey you slathered them with... I know... I know... I'm running away with my excitement, but did I mention how much I love to read to my kids?
For a limited time, I will be hosting an e-show which, by clicking this link: www.ubah.com/HOS110629 will allow you to purchase your own "honey" for your kids (and nieces and nephews, and grandkids too!). The show ends 4/6/08 at midnight, so hurry and get a few lasting memories to pass on. Your purchases will also help earn me one or two free books for my library as well; so I certainly would value your purchase as well!
